Michael Franti and Guerrilla Managment, producers of San Francisco's Power to the Peaceful Festival today announced that the anticipated 2011 event will be rescheduled for 2012. The festival will return annually thereafter.
After 12 years, the free music, arts and action event has grown into an international destination experience incorporating a weekend of concerts, yoga, dj's, action sports, environmental & social justice organizations and workshops with last year's event attended by more than 80,000.
Guitar group of 11 year olds at Tryon Elementary in Tryon, NC picked 3 songs to perform at a local spring festival. One of the songs was Hey World by Michael Franti. It's amazing the influence of Franti has on all ages!

Michael will be playing The Hangout Festival on the beach in Gulf Shores, AL May 14th -16th. He'll be joined by Zac Brown Band, John Legend, Ben Harper and Relentless7, The Black Crowes, and many other great performers!
