The sound of sunshine for me is pure joy. The sunshine and pure joy in my life are the dogs that we rescue. The dogs we rescue are pit bulls. The name for many evokes fear but for us who know the truth, they bring so much happiness! It does not matter where they have come from or what adversity, neglect or abuse they have endured, they are ready to be loved and give love! Their big smiles, sloppy kisses and wiggles of happiness are what keep us going every day. We work tirelessly to save their lives, teach them obedience and give them the love they need to find their forever homes.

The Sound of Sunshine

What is the sound of sunshine?
To me, it’s a feeling, that feeling when I am so thankful to be alive;
It’s that feeling of uncontrollable bliss.
The sound of sunshine is wakin’ up and seeing a new day where everything is possible.
It’s the beauty of nature, peace between nations, and love for strangers.
It’s hope for a better day, hope for the lost, and hope for those who need some love.
The sound of sunshine is being surrounded by those we love and by those who need love.
It’s the sound I hear when children are singing and playing with no care in the world.

Vancouver Show 07/24/10

The Vancouver SOS show was a uniquely rock sound with extra, added pleasure riffs over some of the "older" material. The crowd was big tonight at the Vogue theatre and although Franti makes you feel like he's just a good friend playing for you, there was not the little concert feel that I have enjoyed for so long! Acoustic "Hey World" with Manas on djembe was my favorite song tonight folllowed by story of the creation of "Gloria" and its evocation of a gospel like crowd. I felt likeI was being gently guided by Angels into encouragement of trust in life. Niice! Thank you from Vancouver!
