The situation in Haiti is far worse than you could ever imagine. No clean water, sanitation, security, money before the earthquake makes rebuilding impossible today. Add a cholera epidemic which has taken 4000 lives in 6 months and you can clearly see It will be many decades before Haiti sees a solution to any of it's myriad crises.
