Dear Michael, I've been a fan since a friend played me an old VCR clip of the Disposable Heroes on this Channel 4 UK show "The Word," where they wouldn't let you read a poem about homophobia for some reason so you wrote it on your chest instead! That was so cool. As a bi / equal opportunity (!) / whatever guy myself I so appreciate your having done "Language of Violence" and "Do Ya Love," which is so beautiful. When "Stay Human" came out I didn't think it was possible for anything to ever match that in terms of so many consistently amazing songs … but then "Everyone Deserves Music" followed ... And on it goes...

But what I most wanted to say was: thank you so, so much for "Hey Hey Hey," which is just the greatest thing… I discovered it only last week but have been playing it many times per day, I can't stop! Have been in a dark, extremely painful place and this song is like a thread keeping me connected to hope. Like the best medicine, like a kind of magic. And that also comes through so well in the live versions I've watched on Youtube--Vancouver is really special but also the acoustic version in New Orleans because of all the joy in Jay's face! Anyway, many blessings to you. Stay healthy and strong for a long long time because our world does need you. You have reached this place in your music that's really pure and so powerfully positive and it just glows. When I get to DJ at a party I pretty much always play "What I Be" at some point and EVERYONE gets it! And now "Hey Hey Hey" will always be played. Just the best. Much love!

Hey I have heard this song many times but haven't looked at the lyrics before. Listening the song several time have made me remember the lyrics of this song. Bomb the World, Time To Go Home, The Sound Of Sunshine, Hey World (Don't Give Up) are some of my favorite song by Michael Franti. I have all these songs in my Ipod and prefer listening it in my <a href="http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/headphones-earphones/">stereo headphones</a>. And of course I hope you must have heard the song Walk Obama by Michael Franti, this is his one of the best song and hope you also like this song. DUDE AWESOME SONG, so uplifting!!! You're music is awesome, I was in Greensboro for your show. You totally came by me playing a couple of times. I also love the new song, and can't wait for you guys to be in concert again when I can see you all!! You ROCKED Greensboro Coliseum... I mean blew the roof off, so energetic! Thanks for sharing your lyrics! I am very happy to be here on your new website, my screen name at StayHuman is Haircut called Arthur, so I kept it, and I posted a photo of myself, too. Michael, I met you one time in Portland, Oregon, you greeted people in the audience after the show, and I still relive that since it was soooooooo sweeeeeet! Since, Michael, you are so generous and kind, you let me hug you, kiss you on the cheek and whisper sweet nothings in your ear, oh, then I got down on my knees and kissed your Lotus Hand, Michael, you are ROCK AND ROLL AVATAR!!! This show was on Halloween Night quite a few years ago.

I've loved your band Spearhead since 2003 when I discovered your music on Free Speech T.V., in a documentary film about Spearhead, then I saw you all at Horning's Hideout, that mountain retreat near Portland, Oregon, and when you came out on stage, the sun suddenly came out from behind the clouds, and it had just been raining, so I have WITNESSED your DIVINITY!!! I was lucky to see you and your awesome band perform both nights at MSG this past weekend. From the moment I heard this song I knew it was special. I found myself listening, really trying to hear the words you were singing. The chorus is what struck me and made me smile. This song is filled with hope. I can't wait to hear the recorded version.
