Album Blog: Recording Equipment

This photo is a glimpse at one of the many recording setups.  In several cities across the country, as many of you may know, Michael Franti & Spearhead have been recording much of their new album from our dressing rooms.  This is one such dressing room in St. Louis, MO.

You can see the microphone on the left hanging to capture the sound of Manas' drum kit.  This night they were recording variations of drum beats for "Hey Hey Hey" & "I'll Be Waiting" for the upcoming album Sound of Sunshine.  Against the back wall is the portable recording studio that travelled with us.

I captured this photo while grabbing another camera.  At this particular moment, Michael & Spearhead are on stage.
