JOINING THE JOHN MAYER TOUR 2010
Dear, the best fans ever... I am super excited to be touring with John Mayer in the spring of 2010. John is an amazing singer and songwriter and guitarist who shares my vision of bringing people together through music to have an incredible time. Now I've read a few emails and tweets from some of you die-hards expressing concern that perhaps because we are performing in these larger venues the good old intimate days are over. Well, rest assured good people, that no matter where I'm playing - be it a festival in front of 70,000 people or in a bar in front of a dozen, my goal is to always create intimacy through music and connect with y'all through the most rawkin' show possible! We are working on a new album right now and you will be hearing many new jams on this tour so don't sleep. I look forward to seein' ya on tour next Feb-April and I can guarantee that we will be headlining again in smaller venues, I'll be greeting sweaty fans after every show and you will still be getting the same ol' barefooted me (like it or not!) :). And If you really can't stand coming into the arenas, then just come out to the parking lot before the show because you'll probably find us out there jamming! I just saw an episode the fantasy factory where John mayer appeared it was pretty funny with him and Rob. I stayed at some <a href="http://www.expedia.com.au/London-Hotels.d178279.Travel-Guide-Hotels">hotels in london</a> and saw him while he was there. I'd love to go to another concert.

Addressed my exact thoughts. Was looking into making a show in the Mid-Atlantic this weekend, but opted out due to the lame upper level seats behind the stage and ticket prices. I remember first seeing you guys opening for Ziggy Marley in the spring of 2004 my freshman year at JMU. Real small theater, high energy intimate, slammin show! I'd be bummed if no one was able to have that type of awesome Spearhead experience again! Hopefully you'll headline the DC/Maryland/Philly area sometime this summer. I'm DEFINITELY there.

I was turned on to Michael Franti sitting in the City Of Hope in Cali. My brother was fighting cancer and the only thing that lifted his spirits was listening to a mixed CD a friend made for him. For hours upon hours I played that CD for him- not knowing who I was listening to- for 2 weeks straight. Your music infected my soul to it's very core and I brought it back to Michigan. It truly is one of the only things that got me through the greiving process. Your music speaks to me in a way that I wish the whole world would embrace. I understand why it meant so much to him! I can't wait to see you perform tonight knowing my brother will be with me in spirit- full circle...One Step Closer To You, I Know I'm Not Alone!!!!

I was glad to read your blog about headlining and keeping things a little intimate. Cant wait for you to perform this way back in the Bay.
I was goiong to purchase Mayer tics here in San Jo just to see you to be honest. Then I read some very sidturbing things and one most recent about Mayer. So I've opted out of purchasing tics ot this show and look forward to seeing you in a more intimate setting. The Mountain Winery in Saratoga would be lovely this Summer or Spring. You should look into it.
Also would you, could you, please respond to performing with Mayer unde the circumstance of how communicates himself.
Ps. I just found out from my 22 yr old I am about to be a sexy G-ma (gramma) so I just bought her your Soulshine Sonf for my little Isis Estrella to listen too :) Gonna buy your book when she arrives hear on earth

Ticketless entry was very
Ticketless entry was very easy! Got into the show early enough not to miss any of Michael Franti, my main reason for going! He played an amazing set! Really enjoyed it when he got out into the crowd. I've seen him several times, smaller venues and big festivals - it was neat to see him in an arena with lots of people who might not have seen him live. The feedback around us was very positive, people were talking about getting his music after the show, either itunes or CD's.
John Mayer's set was awesome! A little loud on the bass, but he played really well and sounded very good. He seemed to enjoy the crowd and at one time asked if it was a Friday night and no one told him (it was a Monday night).
