I first heard your music at bonnaroo 2010. I love the messages you speak. I would like to share my new found outlook on the U.S governments military involvement through out the world. I spent years preaching strongly against it, with an open mind I have come to support it. 1. the U.S. is 15 trillion in debt with who?? Fed reserve? Either way in the end it is with the wealthiest individuals through out the world, many of which reside in under developed countries, where these individuals have treated they're lower class very poorly including, child labor, slavery, and genocide to gain they're wealth. 2. the U.S. govt currently claims statues in over 150 countries. Doing what?? Policing? Not our job. But the media tags along, documenting, interviewing, making those here in the states, civilians and politicians aware, which in turn influences those like you and I to have a cause no matter how little impact. 3. Our political system changes hands every 4 to 8 years, allowing one party to pose all blame on the other. 4. U.S. news is broadcast through out the world, and I assume that those with millions invested pay attention. 5. When you borrow money from someone and don't pay it back, that is stealing. 6. The U.S. govt puts 55% of its tax base into the military, resulting in more money than the rest of the worlds military fund combined. There is obviously a much bigger picture than any one person will ever know. Yet as I sum these "facts" up, my conclusion is as follows. There are evil greed driven extremely wealthy persons throughout the world of whom dehumanize the under privileged peoples of the world to gain more and more wealth, the U.S. "borrows" this money, dumps a substantial amount of it into sending well trained individuals with expensive weapons into these same countries to end or reduce the dehumanization, and when these wealthy individuals who are now funding they're own destruction begin asking questions like "When am I going to get my ... money back?" the current political party simply points blame at the other one, and the bickering these individuals see on the television backs this. for a long time I believed our involvement through out the world was unjust and did not support it, I had and spoke strong feelings against it.
