At Minglewood Hall in Memphis, Michael asked for the kids to join him for the last number, "Say Hey (I Love You)". My son was one of about a half dozen and Michael engaged each one of them for a portion of the song.

My boy is more familiar with the older Spearhead, so I was glad Michael didn't try to get the kid to sing along. Michael wanted him to dance and led him up on top of one of the front amps and tried to lead him a move.

My son knows only one move, a frenetic creation he refers to as his 'Monkey Dance'. He was oblivious to Michael's instructions, he just figured it was his turn and he was going to deliver, doing this Monkey Dance at top volume. Eventually Michael smiled and gave up on trying to lead him in a funky move, and instead adopted the Monkey Dance too. It was at once charming and hilarious.
