St. Jude's Ranch for Children
St. Jude’s Ranch for Children rescues abused, abandoned, and neglected children of all races and faiths from the vicious cycle of child abuse. We provide healing and nurturing in a safe home-like environment where children can learn life skills to start new lives with new chances, new choices and new hope. St. Jude's Ranch for Children has three campuses in Nevada and Texas. Our National Offices and Boulder City, Nevada Campus overlooks beautiful Lake Mead about 30 minutes from Las Vegas. The Bulverde, Texas campus is located just north of San Antonio. Also about 30 minutes north of San Antonio is St. Jude's Emergency Children's Shelter in New Braunfels. Texas. Each campus is unique, with the same mission and vision—our Therapeutic Resident Home staff and management team are committed to delivering the highest quality program services to our children. We take large sibling groups that can stay together to further the chances of remaining with the only family they know. Two of our campuses have specialty homes, Pregnant & Parenting Teens and Transitional Living. The youth living in these specialty homes learn independent living skills to become self sufficient, productive citizens in their community. The young ladies of PPT will also learn how to be a nurturing and loving mother, as they have chosen to stay and raise their babies. Our future plans for our Nevada Program include an Independent Living Facility/Program, which will be built in the Las Vegas area. This program will serve young adults ages 18 to 25 years old and will provide supportive housing services to teach these young adults independent living skills to be productive members of the community. No other agency in Southern Nevada has a program like it. We want to avoid homelessness of the children who turn age 18 and are out of the foster care system, with nowhere to go and/or not ready to pursue their adult life challenges.
With your help and continued care, we can support our current programs while creating new ones that allow us to push forward and break the vicious cycle of child abuse.
