We provide service to youth throughout Eastern Massachusetts - Greater Boston, Cape Cod & the Islands and Greater Attleboro, with a focus on the most vulnerable communities. In the past year, we have served over 2,400 at-risk youth, predominantly boys. Most of the youth we serve are inner-city children of color living in low-income households headed by single parents. On average, the adult-child friendships we create last over three years. This is higher than the national average, and puts us in the top five of all BBBS agencies in America for average match length. Promotes Collaboration to Reach More Youth: We work collaboratively with Jewish Big Brothers Association of Greater Boston, Big Sister Association of Greater Boston, the Mass Mentoring Partnership and other area agencies to effectively and efficiently reach even more youth in at-risk communities. We have recently partnered with Bromley Heath Tenant Management Corporation and the Boston Housing Authority (Franklin Field Development) to provide service to children in public housing, and match them with a mentor of their very own.
