About Me
I grew up in Maine, left to become a sea kayak guide in Baja California, roamed around the west coast for awhile, settled in the Bay area for a few years (does living in an Airstream in Sausalito count as settling down?) then, for some reason still unclear to me (especially in the winter), I moved back to Maine. I work with high school students in their quest to become college students and I have a blast doing that.
Interests
Since returning to Maine, I have gotten into competitive rowing on Cornish gigs. We row year round on Penobscot Bay and most people think we're nuts. The Strawberry Music Festival is one of my favorite places to be. I first saw Michael Franti and Spearhead there and it was the best show I have ever seen (and I've seen a lot). Music is important to my life and I volunteer at a local community radio station WERU 89.9 (weru.org streams).
