Watch the award-winning film that Woody Harrelson coined, “The film every human needs right now” alongside director Michael Franti as we celebrate Earth Day’s 50th Anniversary!
“Stay Human is a film about five inspiring people from around the world who helped me in my personal battle between cynicism and optimism. In this incredibly challenging time, I know you will find hope in all of the stories in this film, just as I did when I met each of these people in person.” –Michael Franti
We believe this film is best viewed in community and since we can’t all come together in person during these challenging times, we wanted to bring this moving film into your homes for free for one night. We have partnered with our friends @Levi’s® to invite you to join Michael on this special evening. Invite your friends and family to tune in as well, and let’s experience what it means to STAY HUMAN.
Michael will also be hosting an Instagram Live Q&A + Acoustic Set after – @michaelfranti. Wednesday, April 22 – 5pm PST / 7pm CST / 8pm EST / 11am NSW (Thursday) *The film will be up for 24 hours for all time zones to view*
During the film, you’ll meet a number of incredible humans including Steve Dezember, a dear friend who unfortunately finished his battle with ALS last week. We are dedicating this premiere to him. Michael and his wife Sara met Steve 6 years ago after Steve’s wife, Hope, messaged Michael on Twitter. They were big fans. Steve was already showing severe symptoms of ALS and wasn’t sure how many more outings he would have. After hosting them at a show in Florida and seeing the magic created as Hope pulled Steve up out of his wheelchair on stage to dance to “Life Is Better With You,” they were inspired to start their nonprofit, Do It For The Love, a wish-granting organization bringing people with serious challenges to live concerts.
Since its founding, they have granted over 3,300 wishes and sent over 12,000 people to live music events. We honor Steve and will continue to do good in his name. For more information and to support Do It For The Love, please visit: www.doitforthelove.org
